QUESTION

asked by
2G/3G antenna with REFLECTOR
Dear All,

I am an engineer in HK and I have a request for measuring water flow in rainwater sewage. They would like to transmit the measured data using 2G modem to a cloud sever. However, the system will be installed inside the sewage and is covered by a metallic solid cover (15-20cm thick). We tried different antennas and could not make the signal passing through the cover. I learnt that you had a REFLECTOR technology, which may solve this issue. I am wondering whether you have a product for this application.

Thank you.

Hi Mannyuen,

Our reflector antennas are single band antennas for GNSS and ISM. We have not designed a reflector antenna to cover the 2G band.
Our reflector antennas work when placed on the metal surface with the coax a couple of millimeters above the metal surface. It would have to be placed on the street side of the cover where it would be driven over so you would need to place a plastic cover over the antenna and coax for it to be protected.
If you would like to discuss a custom antenna option please contact techsupport@antenova.com

Best regards,

Geoff S.
