QUESTION

SR4L034 short between pins SC1 and SC2

Hi, the datasheet of  SR4L034, page 15 and 26 doesn't show the short between pin 2 and 3 (SC1,SC2). Please confirm that the short should be there also when no active tuning is used. We have the short on our prototype board and get high reflection between 800-900 MHz compared to the SR4L034-EVB-1.

Hi, the short between pins 2 and 3 should always be placed.

with regards to the results of your device, the antenna will require tuning to ensure it is optimal for your device. We offer a tuning service to our customers for this as well as provide a full report to characterize the antenna.
