QUESTION

S34L034-L and SR4G009 Matching
Hi Antenova Team,

I am manufacturing a tracking device on a 60 x 40mm 4-layer PCB and have selected the BG95-M3 as a modem, the Inversa S34L034-L as LTE antenna, and the Sinica SR4G009 as GNSS antenna.

The S34L034-L is placed in the left-hand corner on the short side of the PCB as per the datasheet to make use of the available ground-plane lengthwise and the SR4G009 is placed in the center-edge of the long side opposite the S34L034-L to make use of the full ground plane along the length. This recommendation came from your forum posting on a similar subject where both these antennas were recommended.

Would it be possible to obtain from you the component values required to (generally) match the S34L034-L and SR4G009 given a 60x40mm PCB or any supporting documentation as to how I can derive these values?

Hi,

For this ground plane size I would recommend using SR4L073 for LTE on the short edge of PCB and SR4G008 on the long edge of the PCB. A good start for the matching values would be to use the values outlined in the datasheets. We can help with matching the antenna when a prototype is available.
