QUESTION

SR4G013 Antena pin 1 connected to ground
Hi,

Is the information correct on datasheet? Does the pin 1 should be connected do GND as specified on datasheet "Product Specification Beltii SR4G013-PS-1.3 Page 9 "? We are using this antena in our product, as such, and we have a very weak signal, invalidating the use of GPS.

When asking for support, teh chip manufacter stated that probably "pin 1 connected to gnd is a typo".

Best regards,

Hi Miguel,

Pin 1 connected to ground is required for this antenna to work so it isn't a typo but there are multiple factors that will affect the antennas performance such as the ground plane size, antenna placement and components in the surrounding area that could detune the antenna.
