Schematic and board design Minuta antenna
Hello,

customer is designing RF with your Minuta antenna and he has doubt regarding elements shown in https://www.mouser.pl/datasheet/2/23/Minuta_SRC2W006_PS_1_0-3051793.pdf (pager 7 and 12). He is asking wht "tuning element" is signed like R1?
Page 12 shows R1 with 4.7pf so for him something does not work.

Hi Arek,

Do you mean the customer has tried 4.7pF for R1 and it's not working?

Hi,

customer is on the schematic and PCB stage and he is wondering why somebody put R1 as "tunning" element. Engineer is strict and R1 does not fit into capacitor parameters shown on 12 page So I have to confirm that it's only 0402 footprint from library and there can be capacitor, resistor or even inductor, right?

Hi Arek,

R1 is used as a label only. The component there can be any value of capcitor or inductor or even 0 ohm resistor. The standard is 4.7pF and would work in most scenarios. This component can change depending how much the antenna is detuned
