Hi,

We want to integrate a Invicta Wifi/Bluetooth antenna in our design. The enclosure is made out of grounded aluminum. We have a plastic section where the antenna is glued. (see the attached drawing).

From the datasheet, the antenna should have 3 axis free of obstructions. We have angled the antenna within the plastic part to try to clear as much as we can.

We would like to have some help with the antenna placement to see if the current placement is ok or have some suggestions on how to improve it.

Hi Antoine,

The antenna placed in a metal enclosure will affect the antennas efficiency. I can check the 3d model to see if there are better placement but the main concern is the metal enclosure and the proximity of the antenna to the edge of the metal enclosure.
