Question

Please can you provide the datasheet for the M20047-EVB-1, not the M20047-1 antenna, but the evaluation board. We need to ascertain if we can use the eval board for our evaluation, or if we need to design our own.

Hi John,

I can't send you a circuit diagram, but the RF side of the module is shown in the datasheet.  The rest of the circuit from the USB connector to the RF feed trace is a DC-to-DC converter from 5VDC to 3.3VDC, a battery switch (via moving a 0-ohm resistor) to select either USB or battery option and an LED to show that there is power to the module.

Hi Geoff,

That's rather disappointing. Instead then, can I assume that the circuit configuration of the antenna interface on the evaluation board is the same as the "Application circuit" in the M20047 datasheet "M20047-1_PS_Apr2018" page 8? If so, what are the calculation equations for the values of R1 and L2 of that circuit ?

Also, please can we request a sample of the M29947-EVB-1 for evaluation?

Hi John,

Yes, all of the values are the same as shown in our data sheet.  R1 and L2 values are determined using a network analyzer and are tuned for the environment that the module is designed into.
